About CCN

The Caribbean Culinary Network is about strengthening, supporting and showcasing our emerging culinary talents.

The Caribbean Culinary Network (CCN) was established by Chef Anthony Mair in response to looming concerns in the Caribbean gastronomic industry.

  • Firstly, are we, as culinary experts doing all that we can to ensure the success of the youth and emerging talents in our field?
  • Secondly, how can we give back all that we have learned to the next generation of experts?

Our Goal

CCN is an education driven, Caribbean-wide collective of food professionals. Together, we’re working to become THE central resource for all things culinary. Through CCN culinary students will gain access to the speciality knowledge and practical experience necessary for acquiring diversity and global marketability.

Some of the things that we offer Culinary Students and emerging talents are:

  • Access to online culinary and hospitality training materials.
  • In-class workshops for specific aspects of the culinary field.
  • Mentorship programs.
  • Access to numerous and varied recipes along information.
  • Promotion of sustainability and the use of local produce.
  • Promotion of true traditional and fusion Caribbean cuisine.
  • Access to job postings via CCN Job board.
  • Assistance with resume writing and applying for culinary positions.
  • Opportunity to take part in competitions for practical training.
  • International student exchange programs.
  • Education on Food and health education (cooking for speciality diets)
  • ETC.

For the general public we also offer:

  • Education on Food and its impact on your health.
  • Cooking for speciality diets (gluten free, salt free, etc).
  • Training on general cooking skills, health and safety in the kitchen.
  • Training on cooking various international cuisines (Italian, etc).
  • Promotion of “eat what you grow”; home cooking.
  • Community events that showcase food along with the values of CCN in an effort to educate and promote a passion for cooking.

Why CCN?

Technology and communication has improved exponentially over the recent years, exposing the Caribbean to new cultures, markets and new foods. It is driving a knowledge explosion in the food industry.  Foods from every culture has been exposed, new produce, new cooking and baking methods have entered the game. The standard for Caribbean people and cuisine has been raised.

CCN will help our youth and food lovers widen their knowledge of food and cooking in order to gain the ability to prepare dishes that meet the needs of a broader palate. This ability will make them highly valued in any kitchen around the world.
